FROM FRIDAY 9 ON SUNDAY 11/6
OLD TÚRIA BED. Between the Exhibition Bridge and the Flors Bridge
"Let's collectivize ourselves!” is the motto chosen by the Celebrate Alternative of this year, a call to social and political associationism as a tool to face the challenges and conflicts that present society poses to us. As always, there will be vegetarian and organic food cooked with local products, craft stalls of all kinds (jewel, toys, rubber…) and representation of social groups that fight to achieve a better world. The culture program is the fourth leg on which this historic fair stands, which has been bringing life to the old bed of the Túria in the months of June for more than thirty years. There will be music with Pau Alabajos (Valencian singer-songwriter), Taali Khali (indian music) o Miguel Caldito and Combo Utopia (flamenco fusion), others, circus with Sargantana Circus, ceramic printing workshops (with textiles and vegetables), talks about anti-prison feminism, self-consumption urban beekeeping, the "gag law", transsexuality, energies renovables, mental salvation, the public pension system, the struggles of the Mapuche people or information manipulation in the 21st century, and docuforums on the assassination of Salvador Seguí and political violence during the Transition. Let's collectivize! AU
