The Mary

FRIDAY 27/2, 19.30H. 23€
ARTS. Professor Lopez Piñero, 1

Of all the new faces of Valencian music, The Mary and, certainly, the singer who has shone more in recent months thanks to the song "Mon vetlatori" (2022) which he performed on several occasions to honor those affected by the floods of October 2024. Originally from Olive, Maria recovers the musical tradition of the Valencian Country and rewrites it through innovation and experimentation to turn it back into popular music, that is to say, widely listened to and intergenerational. On his latest album, Robin (Propaganda by the Fact!, 2025), proposes a conceptual musical self-portrait around mental health, a celebration of fragility, strength and beauty. The music is transformed into a sensory experience that plays with electronics and the wildness of the rhythms, and combines them with the delicacy of the voice and the melodies of folklore. A work to discover in a beautiful scenic and narrative format directed by Abel Coll (stage direction) i Marina Alcantud (music direction). B.L.
