Valencia illustrates at home

Valencia is illustrated is an initiative of The Rambleta and Alhambra Beers, with commissioner Cristina Chumillas, which tries to highlight the team of good illustrators that we have in Valencia by inviting them to draw emblematic and inspiring places in the city. With the work they set up, throughout the year, exhibitions in bars in different neighborhoods of the city with a view to the final party on La Rambleta, where a collective exhibition brought together the proposals of all the participating illustrators. Well then, the third presentation of this project, for obvious reasons, it will have to be virtual, but no less interesting, because we will have the addition of an interactive meeting on Thursday 23/4 at 7pm. on La Rambleta's Facebook Live in which the illustrators will participate Alba Casanova, Julieta Xlf, Lau, Fran Mengual, Sergio Montal y Tete Chumi. Regarding the illustrations, Alba Casanova draws the Torner building of 1950 (Of. west), a construction full of contrasts that represents the diversity of the context in which it survives; Julieta XLF will remember the figure of María Cambrils through the Liberty Street (hoy, queen street), where one of the first defenders of women's equality was born; Laura Rico will take us to Benimaclet to pay tribute to the bookseller Javier Undiano of Study 64; Fran Mengual focuses on Cabanyal Road, between the institute and the cemetery, where some of the tallest buildings in València coexist alongside the few barracks and orchards that remain in that area; Sergio Montal will take us to the Saturday market in the Jesus Square; and Tete Chumi will show us the Entrance bridge to Valencia through San Isidro, where the bell tower of the parish of San Isidro barely appears.
