An idea that turned out to be not so good

LANEVERA GALLERY. Puerto Rico, 46

The Peruvian Martín López Lam won the XII Fnac Prize-Salamandra Graphic by The ages of the rat, a work about expatriation and uprooting that violates the reader with deliberately strident colors. The comic was published in October 2019 and this start of 2020 brings us the sample that brings together his drawings on paper and silkscreens from recent years where different influences and graphic traditions coexist.. In An idea that turned out to be not so good 18th century European explorers mix with Japanese drawings, kebab labels, characters from adventures and colonial chronicles on a journey of no return. Editor of Ediciones Valientes and organizer of Tenderete, López Lam comes out of the back room and faces the spotlight with this exhibition and the screen printing workshop that will be taught by the 7 of March.
