UNTIL SUNDAY 1/3
F. CHIRIVELLA SORIANO. Valeriola, 13
Chema Lopez i Santiago Ydáñez put their works in dialogue in the exhibition that closes the celebration of twenty years of activity of the Chirivella Soriano Foundation. Ydáñez from Jaen works with the expressionist force, visceral and emotional in pictures where the human figure, the mask and theatricality become protagonists, and where there are constant references to the great masters of art history. Chema López from Albacete is recognized for a work that investigates the construction of the image, memory and representation mechanisms from a precise and calculated language. López's work is characterized by its linguistic and referential versatility. They converge there, in different ways, the painting, the drawing, photography and narrative scenarios such as cinema or literature. Ambdos, showing off an aesthetic and ideological harmony, have projected this one double session what tells us about the importance of time, of the relationship with nature, of violence and historical events through the portrait, the landscapes, the body and official certificates, such as the identity documents that the French state began issuing in the 19th century based on police records in order to classify and control us.
