RAFAEL ARMENGOL. TIEPOLO PAIRS

THE SHIP. University, 2

The renowned Valencian painter Rafael Armengol (Benimodo,1940) presents his work of the last five years dedicated to the artist Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, painter and engraver clau of the rococo italy. They make up the sample Pairs of Tiepolo thirty modern pictorial works, electronic and pixelated (some of them large format) which are the continuation of previous works in which Armengol approached Renaissance figures such as Botticelli, Uccello or Mantegna. In this case, from iconic figures of Tiepolo -artist who worked mythology and iconographic figures-, create pairs and play with them taking advantage, for example, the visual tensions between the characters.
