The E CA International Photography Prize of Riba-Roja de Túria was born with the intention of plastically collecting the contradictory nature of images. In this line, The hundred photographs that make up the exhibition propose a dialogue between the beautiful and the sinister, order and chaos, the bright and the dark, very present in the winning photograph The forgotten garden of Jorge Lens Leiva. In it emerges, from an improvised landfill inside the town, a landscape painting that seems to be a continuation of the dirt, a surreal picture involving a sniffing dog and its walker. The idyllic nature of the oil painting intersects with the disorder and dirt of earthly reality to give us the winning contradiction of the first edition of this contest.. AU
