The internal sea

FROM FRIDAY 1/12 TO SATURDAY 13/1

Laura Cobo Hairdressing. Let's live, 19

Sensual, sad or intriguing are the faces that Emanuela Tringali paints. And behind these enigmatic glances the artist presents beings that live in a liquid state., in that “liquid modernity” that the great sociologist Zygmunt Bauman has told us so much about to refer to an individualistic society in which everything is temporary and unstable., lacking solid aspects. In Emanuela's mind the word “liquid” abandons all metaphor and becomes real., hence she sees all her characters wrapped in a watery halo, as if they were floating in a fish tank, surrounded by fish and jellyfish. For her, human beings have become two-dimensional beings., pending to appear instead of feel, But this does not mean that we should fall into the temptation of a pessimistic vision., Well, there is hope: we are not alone and we are not disconnected; we are preparing for a major change, a return to origins. We will have to wait a little, because this moment has not yet arrived, this exhibition is just a prelude. GLORIA POZUELO
