Common places

LANEVERA GALLERY. Puerto Rico, 46B

In the last edition d'Open Valencia - the event with which the Valencian galleries start the exhibition season - there were notable absences, but also new additions that make us half smile. Lanevera Gallery is a screen printing workshop, a premises of coworking, a graphic work tent and an exhibition space that will host five shows throughout the season, started by this of Victor Visa that concerns us. The exhibition Places common it is made up of surreal spaces full of decontextualized objects and bodies (I buy gold, a podium in flames, the go of Jeff Koons…) that cast their shadow on a white background. The background reading is that humans, lacking critical awareness, we let ourselves be carried away by collective inertia. S.M.
