UNTIL FRIDAY 20/1
GAL. JORGE LÓPEZ. Father Jofré, 26
The avant-garde artists of the early 20th century already understood that painting can have rhythm, that despite being a musical concept, it can be extrapolated to the plastic in abstract works such as those of Sonia Delaunay.. The exhibition at the Jorge López Gallery runs in this sense., Constant structures, whose name has been taken from a jazz harmonic progression popularized by pianists such as Bill Evans and Herbie Hancock. As you may have imagined, this exhibition is about abstract art, what they do Amparo Tormo and Leo Burge, that put their pieces into dialogue —made of robust and industrial materials, but fragile and minimalist—with dissonances and harmonies to highlight that there are different ways of approaching the same topic.
