Jarque's workshop

UNTIL WEDNESDAY 21/12
LIBRERIA RAILOWSKY. Esteve recorder, 34

Francesc Jarque is one of the most important Valencian photographers of the 20th century, for the quality of his images and for his documentary work in capturing Valencian heritage and culture. It is very symptomatic that the ethnology museum dedicated an exhibition to him 2019, three years after his death. Although the bulk of Jarque's photographic archive is kept by the Valencian Library, the family has made a donation to the Railowsky Foundation of more than 350 photographs that are the ones exposed in Jarque's workshop, hanging on the walls and on the floor, recreating Jarque's old workshop rather than an exhibition hall in use. The exhibition includes the series dedicated to gargoyles, the walks of the doors, the market and wrapped up Valencia, others. AU
