Lucid connections

To Wednesday 26/2
UPV (espai n-1). Way of Vera, s/n

In the seventies of the XX century, the artists who were looking for links between art, science, technology and society were attracted to alternative lifestyles, political activism, philosophy, ethics or ecology. Half a century later, in the postmedia era, the social problems of that time remain active: the structures of information and power continue to spit out stereotypes and the voices that claim a democratizing openness are preaching in the wilderness. The four artists participating in the exhibition Lucid connections show a critical attitude towards current digital culture, questioning the masculinity of algorithms, the environmental impact derived from the exploitation of rare earths (essential for the electronics industry) or the energy consumption of the AI.
