Pepita Lumier. Stew, 7
The Pepita Lumier gallery exhibits a selection of images from the book until July Cats are paradoxes (2017) published by Jot Down, one of the most recent and personal editorial projects of the National Illustration Award Pablo Amargo. Simple work, elegant and minimalist in which the lines become slippery like cats and play with the viewer. The felines move their sinuous shapes through houses and buildings (sometimes unfinished) mixing with the prints of carpets and sofas to pose a kind of riddle that in many cases brings out a half smile.. Bitter received in 2016 the Gráffica Award “for being an illustrator who puts graphic intelligence before fireworks”. Better, can't be described. S.M.
