Artists and machines. Dialogues in the development of digital art

UNTIL SUNDAY 29/5
CARME CENTER. Museum, 2

They hang from a curious coat rack, hanging on hangers, naked women's bodies. Next to him, on a chair, rest another. These bodies are serigraphs on white polymer with which the artist Ariane Thézé reflects how each woman has to assume, every morning, the identity of wife, madre, working woman, fighter, with the consequent pressure that this exerts on their life and their place in society. In another room, A video shows hands typing words of love, long pieces of paper full of pixels wave forming an extravagant sea, and collage of posters of the Cod Route call us with their vivid images. These are some of the more than eighty works by copyart, videoart and net.art that presents Artists and machines, an exhibition that reflects on the origins of current art offering a historiographical account of alternative avant-garde movements, a tour of our cultural heritage since the arrival of machines. From this moment on it is worth asking: who is the artist, the person or the machine?, How do you distinguish the original work from the copy??, How important is the process?? The pieces are there for each visitor to explore and draw their own conclusions.. GLORIA POZUELO
