UNTIL SUNDAY 23/1
CARME CENTER. Museum, 2

The display of works of art acquired by the Ministry of Education is always interesting, Culture and Sport with the purpose of bringing together a collection of pieces representative of the artistic current of our community. Seeking gender parity and balance between provinces, this year they were bought 37 pieces, more than ever, which deal with various topics such as time and memory from different media, feminism or sustainability. Renowned artists with a wide track record appear on the tour, such as Angels Frame, which presents one of its characteristic stairs-ramp, o Carmen Calvo, with a work from his first stage. Marco's is a sculpture that accompanies that ofAmanda Moreno, of iron meandering with the void; to from Carmen Ortiz, a white door that leads nowhere made of openings and flat planes; o the ofOliver Johnson, which continues to study the properties of metallic and degraded color in the sculpture on the wall of a helix. The graphic work gains prominence in a room in which the mural of Vinz Feel Free which pays tribute to women miners in struggle, the originals of the illustrated album three trips of Miguel Calatayud i de la novel·la graphics The lost paradise with what Pablo Auladell won the National Comic Award in 2016; and the map with embroidery and stones marking the Civil War mass graves with which Nuria Riaza poetically represents barbarism. Fora, to the central corridor, hang the wonderful geometric drawings of Roberto Molla, the isothermal blankets with messages against the rejection of migrants from Louis Masià and the enlarged and large-scale photography that, over land, denounces the enormous accumulation of waste generated by human action Silvia Sempere. Equally ecological is the message of the installation ofElena Marti which unites posidonia balls of different sizes to draw attention to the poor health of our seas. Valencian contemporary art takes the stage to show quality, diversity and new impulses. AU
