30 years of industrial design at the UPV

Bancaja Foundation. Pl. Tetouan, 23

The Bancaja Foundation surprise in summer with a type of exposure that we are not at all used to, because the object of study combines art, technology, society and industry. Let's talk about industrial design. Coinciding with the candidacy of Valencia for World Capital of Design in 2022, Bancaja is partnering with the Polytechnic University of Valencia to show the work of designers who have studied there for a degree in design, present in the curriculum for thirty of the fifty years that the UPV has just completed. We are facing a meeting of former students who show where they are and what they do after leaving the Vera Campus. You will be able to find lip-floaters and carpets from Marisa Gallen i Sandra Figuerola, both members of the legendary studio La Nave, the Closca helmet by Carlos Ferrando (on sale at Moma and Victoria & Albert Museum), faucet for Porcelanosa by the architect Ramón Esteve, shoes Snipe by Manuel Bathroom, very particular screens from Emiliana Design, fun childcare products d'Study Llongo, the Nest Chair by Javier Pastor, Mut acoustic shock absorbers Design, plushies from Play by Play for a Famosa, latest generation of baby strollers Wrong Baby, shopping carts that are used in 25 countries, Mercadona scouring pads… Design in Valencia beyond furniture and lights.
