SWEDISH (La Ribera Baixa)
mimsueca.com

Thirty! Thirty years ago, the Sueca MIM International Exhibition gave us a program full of the best gestural and body theater in the capital of La Ribera Baixa every September. Three features are shared each edition by all the artistic proposals: mutism, risk and innovation. And this year we add one more, concern for social issues such as gender violence, the disability, loneliness in big cities, child labor or marginalization. Let's go with proper names. The French company Cirque Inextremist presents, absolute premiere in Spain, Extension, a kind of continuation of the previous one Extremities in which the artist Remi Lecoq swaps his wheelchair for an excavator that doubles as an exoskeleton and performs circus acts with planks of wood and butane bubbles. The English Motionhouse, in Block, they play with twenty blocks that simulate concrete as if they were tiles of Jenga, fusing dance and circus, and the Portuguese company established in Crutches theater Only presents Only, a poetic and melancholic show featuring a giant park bench and a stilt walker who interacts with the audience. The Valencian Horta Theater will premiere She was i, arrived from Catalonia, we will have a Guillem Alba with Calm i Slou Olou with Snails, a leisurely show of humor and poetry with few words. Long live the MIM! AU
