La Rambleta starts the stage season strong with a piece directed by Manuel Martín Cuenca (responsible for The author, Fiprseci Critics' Choice Award at the Toronto Film Festival) which has Antonio de la Torre as part of the cast. Anna is a journalist who has met at a hotel in Turin to interview Maurice Rossel (of the Tower), a member of the International Red Cross who visited Nazi concentration camps during World War II to interview commanding officers and some prisoners in order to issue a highly controversial report. As witness Primo Levi will be at the interview, renowned writer and survivor of the Auschwitz extermination camp. They were both in the same field, But their experiences were diametrically opposite and Anna arrives ready to dismantle Rossel's arguments by making him see that she did not know anything about what was happening.. He says he hasn't seen but, Did you not see or did not want to see? A man on the move It is a work that aims to go one step further in reflecting on the Holocaust from a contemporary prism by asking uncomfortable questions.: What are we capable of denying and imagining? What do we want to remember and why?? AU
