Tic-Tac

Tic-Tac it has nothing innovative on a plot level or spectacular on a technical level, its main asset is the fact that it is an original musical produced far from Madrid's Gran Vía and in Valencian. Which is no small thing! A great Valencian production well rooted and entertaining (especially the first part), written in six hands by Carles Alberola, Rodolf Sirera and Pasqual Alapont, which won the MAX for Best Musical Show in 2018. The long musical number that opens the play, very cabaret, put the cards on the table: let's see a great show with magnificent costumes and a large cast that sings and dances with credit. There is a lot of money invested here. A renowned playwright (Carles Alberola) vol refer a work, Pygmalion, which could not release five years earlier because skirt messes. He is a dreamer, selfish and narcissistic who made mistakes at that time and now that he lives in a delicate situation he wants to redeem himself by re-boarding the whole company in this new production, which will be the last of his career. Tic, tac… This is the story of a playwright who hides in fiction to escape a reality he doesn't like, of an artist who is in love with his own work and who is willing to do anything in the name of art, of a father who has forgotten the art of loving. An ode to fiction. S.M.
