The work progresses in two parallel planes: we have a Miguel de Cervantes in the background sitting at the table writing his magnum opus and living his life (judges and creditors besiege him, tells of his time in prison...) and in the foreground, The letters of his pen become flesh in the figures of Alonso Quijano and Sancho Panza, who live all kinds of misadventures while their author writes them. Evidently, The entire book cannot be compressed into two hours of theater and they have had to take out the scissors and prioritize. They “apologize” for it in a fun and intelligent final epilogue, but they warn: if you want everything The Quijote, buy the book.
