Born from a creation residence at Espacio Inestable, Point starts from the imaginary of fencing to talk about the tyranny of a system that urges you to chase the gold medal above all else. Fencing is a source of inspiration, but so are K-pop, skating and Antonio "the dancer", to reflect on what we miss while trying to rise above everyone else. The piece closely follows two fencers seeking the immediate reward of the point, forgetting that, may be, there is a horizon beyond the foil. Like this, Manoamanodanza raises the possibility of building an alternative path in a system that promotes social advancement, economic and professional as the only way. AU
