Madrid, 2025. Pedro Berriel, an orchestra conductor 53 years, He is immersed in the recording of Symphony No. 6 de Chaikovski, known as “The Pathetic”. He is so focused on his task that, in his delirium, he naturally assumes that the Russian composer closely follows the rehearsals at his side. Loosely inspired by the novel by Arthur Schnitzler, to die —about a man who reels from the tragedy of his own extinction—, he National Dramatic Center and the Kamikaze Theater coproduce The pathetic. A dramatic comedy that reflects on art and immortality, and explores the relationship between the creator, his work and death.
