It seems that this theater cycle for adults driven by the Escalante Theater to treat the still open wounds of the Civil War. Very open if you poke around a bit. The invented life of Godofredo Villa [6/11] talks about a boy evacuated to France during the Spanish Civil War who fought with the French resistance against the Nazis and lived in Oran when the Algerian War of Independence broke out. The Section [7/11] -co-produced by Neighborhood Theater i A Made Shot– helps to understand how the day-to-day life of our grandmothers and mothers was by focusing on the evolution of the Women’s Section through the lives of Pilar Primo de Rivera, Mercedes Sanz-Bachiller and Carmen Polo. Flowers from Spain [8/11] is composed of three independent theatrical pieces that deal with the theme of 120.000 "enforced disappearances" produced during the war and the Franco dictatorship, babies stolen by direct action of the Catholic Church, and the case of Enrique Ruano, a leftist student who died in police custody under strange circumstances. Close the cycle Dark Love [9/11], about the last and best verses that Federico García Lorca wrote, murdered and buried in one of the many ditches that populate the Spanish territory. S.M.
