AUDITORIUM TORRENT. Vicent Pallardó, 25
December 1823. These are dark times for Goya, old and pessimistic, harassed by his fears, obsessions, grotesque fantasies and vital contradictions. The artist tries to escape through his darkest painting, the black paintings, captured on the walls of his Quinta del Sordo. In it he pours the ghosts and the absolutist pressure, repressive and suffocating of Fernando VII, that persecutes the sympathizers of the Enlightenment, to liberals like him. The dream of reason es a historical drama, an artistic version of events in Spanish history through which relationships can be established with our time, a show that mixes several languages, all belonging to the protagonist's vital reality: the great Goya.
