It is unprecedented that the same actress plays the same character in different periods over forty years.. And that is precisely what happened to him 44, 66 y 80 years to Lola Herrera in the shoes of Carmen Sotillo, the character created by Miguel Delibes who mourned the unexpected death of her husband in a soliloquy in which she uncovers the goings-on of her marriage and, in turn, economic concerns, religious, policies, sexual and moral of the sixties. Herrera said goodbye “definitively” to the character in 2005, but the fiftieth anniversary of the publication of the novel has once again relaunched this work, indelibly linked to his career, which marks a milestone in Spanish dramaturgy and, probably, world.
