George Steiner, reconocido estudioso de la cultura europea, afirma que Antígona plantea los cinco grandes debates universales de la tragedia: conflictos entre hombres y mujeres, entre la juventud y la vejez, entre el mundo de los vivos y el de los muertos, entre los seres humanos y la divinidad, y entre la sociedad y el individuo. Por eso nos sigue cautivando a día de hoy esta obra de Sófocles estrenada en 441 a. C. que la compañía La Ferroviaria de Elx trae al Teatro Principal –después de su paso por Sagunt a Escena– en una adaptación de Paco Macià. Protagonizada por Eloísa Azorín, Enric Juezas, Morgan Blasco y María Muñoz, esta gran tragedia clásica siempre obliga a reflexionar sobre los debates internos inherentes al ser humano. INÉS LUJÁN
