Organized on the occasion of International Short Film Day, The traveling festival The Shortest Route moves this year to the Patraix neighborhood. As is tradition, It will move throughout the day in a circuit through various venues in the neighborhood where different programs of Valencian short films divided by themes will be screened.. As a novelty, This year the contest will have three thematic sessions instead of the traditional four, with the intention, the organizers say, to give priority to meeting with the public of those responsible for the different projects. The first session will be at 12:30 p.m.. with the session Roulette, seven short films for the whole family The house to have a great time. In this first section we will find all the animation techniques, starting with the 2D of simpler short lines like Bottle battle Mary Polished, o Pulpo and Babu by Simon Fariza. Along with these, 3D productions stand out such as Dry Fly of Ruth Juan and Popcorn by Sergi Vozcaino, the realistic story wildlife by Álvaro Yebra, even the mixture of techniques a chicken by Alejandra Alboreda. At 6 p.m.. we have a stop at the fabric store Bye Bye Manoni where, under the title return home,We will see shorts that have as a common motive the return home of their main characters. This is the case of the four short films that occupy this section: Epidemic by Alejandro Portaz, The red coat by Avelina Prat, The Russian machine by Octavio Guerra and The viscera by Elena López Riera, film selected at the Locarno Festival. The party will end at 8 p.m.. in Espai Sankofa with section At the rhythm of the Route, a session of video clips from Valencian groups. The bands that will present their work through images will be Atomic Howl, Doctor Divago, Tortel, autumn, The guincho, Johnny B. Zero, Wild Ripple y Lanuca. It will be precisely this last proposal that will be in charge of closing the event with a concert that will take place starting at 8:30 p.m.. Lanuca is the proposal of the artist Ángela Bonet who will present her latest work for the public of La Ruta Más Corta., Remora. G.LEON
