New edition of this competition dedicated to human rights in the Mediterranean arc, with cinema as a vehicle for reflection on various social issues. This year's call has as its central theme the desire to end poverty in the world. Inspired by the Sustainable Development Goal 1, favored by the United Nations, "the main objective of the festival will be to show the different forms of poverty and social exclusion, not only for economic reasons, but also social, ethnic, cultural, etc.”, says the organization. Four sections: fiction, documentary film, Valencian and Latin American cinema. In the main program we will find seven proposals. Start Socialmed in Romania with metronome by Alexandru Belc [15], on youth in the Ceaușescu regime. From here we will jump to Nicaragua with The daughter of all rages de Laura Baumeister [18], Dominican Republic with Carajita d'Ulises Porra i Silvina Schnicer [19], Czech Republic with My Afghan family de Michaela Pavlátová, César for best animated film and Jury Prize at the Annecy festival [20]; Macedonia with The happiest man in the world de Teona Strugar Mitevska [21], Reign Unit time Blue Jean by Georgia Oakley [22], and Italy with The Braibanti case by Gianni Amelio [23].
