In the Adamant was the surprising winner of last year's Berlin Film Festival. The latest work by veteran director Nicolas Philibert takes us to a very particular space. The Adamant is a small boat docked on the Seine that serves as a residence for adults suffering from mental disorders. As in most of his cinema, The French director's camera does not focus only on describing the disease, but rather to try to discover the vitality of its characters.
