In a world marked by genocides, pandemics and invasions that raise the prices of essential goods such as olive oil or milk, it is not a good idea to leave our nutrition in external hands. This is one of the reasons, the most practical and selfish, to bet on food sovereignty, supported on the magnificent peri-urban vegetable garden of Valencia, with its six thousand family farms that go against the global trend of concentrating production in a few hands with intensive crops. This is one of the claims of the unique festival Viewpoints of Horta, which unites agriculture with design, culture, tourism and gastronomy. The strong point of the program are the facilities that, below the slogan “L'Horta, capital of sustainable food”, they will plant in the garden Didac Ballester Study together with LUCE, Barana Creative Action with APU'A Design Studio, the tandem Sayavera Studio i Valeria, the study Wanna i BONA FIDE Taller, as well as students from the CEU and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). To enjoy these facilities, you can sign up for a guided cycle tour! The festival also offers live cooking sessions with rice tasting, children's workshops, traditional games, round tables on food waste and healthy eating, and live music with Rodamons. S.M.
