My Farter is an unclassifiable star of Latin indie pop. His records are a heady mix of multiple influences, as evidenced by the two albums he published 2021, Six i 1940 Carmen: hi trobem rockabilly, love songs, boleros, themes inspired by Latin American folklore and even, un toc de soul a l’Amy Winehouse. What unites these songs is a voice carried by passion, capable of feasting on intimacy in a romantic ballad and moving right after to hard, political rock. The voice and words of the Chilean singer provoke, bite and sigh at the same time to mend our hearts and minds and make loving again a little less scary. B.L.
