Lords of Altmont

MONDAY 28/10, 21H. 16/20€
16 TONS. Ricardo Micó, 3

Lords of Altamont is a raw and energetic Californian rock and roll band formed around 1999, known for the use of the Farfissa keyboard and primitive guitar riffs, direct and very distorted. Their sound is influenced by the London rhythm and blues of the mid-sixties and the aggressive punk of the seventies in New York. The current lineup includes Jake “The Preacher” Knight, vocalist and keyboardist, who has collaborated with bands like The Fuzztones and The Sonics; Dani Mayor on the guitar, Barry Van Esbroek on drums and Rob Zimmerman on bass. In his concerts, the band displays a committed attitude, wild and furious, offering a repertoire that, although it may sound nostalgic, bears a personal and up-to-date stamp. XIMO MARQUIS
