16 TONS. Ricardo Micó, 3
From his beloved Úbeda comes the fusion of blues-rock of Guadalupe Silver, a group that through its five self-titled albums has managed to create an unmistakable sound. In these more than ten years of experience, his music has been coined as “swamp blues”, but also explores other wastelands such as garage, the vouchers, psychedelia or even flamenco. On his last album (published just a year ago), The strength and simplicity of his guitars are accompanied by more original elements such as bandurrias, Violins, old creaking doors or anise bottles. Nothing like seeing them live to hear their rock gloomy and hypnotic, with bass lines brought straight from somewhere in Mississippi. G.T.
