When the times are bad, music is always presented as a refuge, as a trench. An idea that, certainly, Maruja he knew how to make it to perfection. The Manchester quartet shoots at apathy with an impossible-to-encorse proposal: post-punk mutant, unleashed free jazz and spoken word at the service of a message of solidarity with the oppressed. Their concerts are collective rituals where political tension and emotional release go hand in hand, guided by incendiary saxophones, relentless rhythms and an energy that seems inexhaustible. After conquering stages around the world and leaving a mark at the prestigious SXSW, they arrive ready to demonstrate why they are one of the most essential bands of this present that we live in.
