The North American band Daistar was formed in the spring of 2020 in Austin, Texas. His music is inspired by the neo-psych era of the 1980s and 1990s., influenced by British bands like The Jesus and Mary Chain, Spacemen 3 and the first Primal Scream. At the end of last year the group released their debut album Good time with the British label Fuzz Club Records, the studio recording was produced by Alex Maas of The Black Angels and engineered by James Petralli of White Denim. “Tracemaker” is the first single from the album, which is also available on the B side as a lathe cut 7, with a version of “Burning wheel” de Primal Scream.
