NURSERY GARDENS. General Elio, s/n
Like every year in the month of July, the gardens of Vivers are transformed into an open-air concert hall where spectators can take advantage of a bit of freshness in the middle of Valencia's hot summer. Twenty concerts that, this year, they set the bar very high in terms of international programming Nursery concerts, with a program that will please those nostalgic for the eighties and nineties: Duncan Dhu [2], Deep Purple [7], Garbage [8], UB40 [15] and also The Jacksons [16]. For the Spanish program, we note the performances of Valeria Castro [5] i The Plazuela [18]. And as for the Valencian artists… so, for the third consecutive year, are the great absentees of this historic festival that, However, it should have as its mission to value local musicians. We regret that the programmers of the Valencia City Council have (still!) plugs in their ears and they don't realize how, the last few years, Valencian music is more eclectic and exciting than ever. This summer, Valencia does not sleep: sing. But in what language?? B.L.
