Pablo Milanés [26/6] will act as a guest artist in the 34 edition of the Serenades festival organized by the University of Valencia and the Valencian Institute of Culture in the cloister of La Nau at the end of June. To theirs 78 years, the Cuban singer-songwriter is on tour in Spain to present new songs such as "Days of Light", who donates nom to the tour, and great classics such as "El breu espai" or "Per a viure". This will be one of the eight concerts that make up this year's young and predominantly female program that includes chamber music, d'author, symphonic and jazz. Names like those of Melomans [29] reviewing a cappella songs of yesterday and today with humor, Kairos project [30] homenatjant Nadia Boulanger, whose work was fundamental in the musical transition between the 19th and 20th centuries, i l’Jazz Orchestra of the Conservatory Superior of Music Joaquim Rodrigo of Valencia, directed by Jesús Santandreu, which will unfold its repertoire for a big bandtraditional and contemporary, with an interesting miscellany of modern pop, arrangements on works of Russian Romanticism and other bold touches. They will celebrate the festival Dance Group of the University of Valencia, directed by Toni Aparisi (recently nominated for the Max Awards), accompanied by the musicians of the Ministers Chapel Academy (CDM), with own production before the light.
