It fell like that, the Valencia alive and combative arrives at the Carme Center a few weeks after the electoral overturn in the Valencian Country. banners, fists up, lgtb flags, castells, the "shall not pass"… The exhibition Valencia alive and combative collects a hundred images of the photojournalist German Caballero with the social struggles that have built citizen resistance over the last twelve years in Cap i Casal. Beatriz Garrote leading the mobilization of the association of victims of the Valencia metro accident in a crowded Plaza de la Virgen, the historic feminist demonstration of 2018, the daily struggles of the Mortgage Affected Platform (PAH), the 15M camp in the Town Hall square and the Valencian Spring ignites the 2012 by the students in a call against the devaluation of public education make up the memory of the most recent Valencian social movements. In this exhibition they take shape in photographs that breathe agitation, cabreig and bravery, in a video of interviews with some of the members of these movements, the texts written by the protagonists themselves and a timeline made with fines, stickers, complaints and posters crossed by a red thread that ends in a skein. The message is very clear: skein left to unwind, the fight continues. AU
