Poetic urbanism

UNTIL SUNDAY 10/12
MuVIM. Quevedo, 10

The Pink Panther prototype welcomes you. The iconic font installed in 1984 at the south entrance of Valencia to commemorate the arrival of the Xúquer waters is one of the five iron sculptures, acer and aluminum that make up thePoetic urbanism of Miquel Navarro. Influenced by Russian futurism and constructivism, they evoke the human body with its limbs and materialize the obsession with water of the artist from Mislata. they are, in fact, sources of most of these sculptures. On the other hand there are his imagined cities springing from the ground as in the opening credits of Game of thrones. One of them is displayed in the museum lobby next to the model of Father Tosca, offering two ways to represent the city, the one of Tosca with fidelity and the other, polyhedral, born of imagination and inspired by archaeology, the debris, the industry with the fumerals of the factories, the garden and the mud.
