If the wrinkle is beautiful, the crack too. Claudia Pastomas does not hide it, the evidence, and uses it to twist the concept of union, hence the name of the sample: Join the crack. Rescues objects and forms decontextualized from their function and makes textures interact, the elasticity and resistance of materials in sculptures that question the limits between the utilitarian and the artistic. It achieves this by combining traditional tools and processes typical of cabinetmaking., such as metal braces used to close cracks and maintain integrity in wooden sculptures, with contemporary industrial production methods.
