If I could choose my landscape

UNTIL SUNDAY 30/3
CARME CENTER. Museum, 2

Twenty artists show us their particular landscape at the Center del Carme using techniques such as painting, the sculpture, the video, the installation and, above all, to the photo. If I could choose my landscape addresses the concept of landscape from the proposal of the author Alain Roger, which maintains that landscape is not found in raw nature, but in the way in which the artist perceives and frames it, selecting what to include and what to exclude, what to emphasize and what to silence, to represent it. The artists represented in the Center del Carme exhibition have done it in their own way, half Valencians, com Joaquin Michavila, Soledad Seville i Nelo Vinuesa. From the rest of the State you will find well-known figures such as de Santiago Ydáñez o Victoria Iranzo, also international names. The Iranian Golkar round analyzing the space in relation to contemporary living conditions, the american James Casebere with his photographs constructed through strategic lighting, the german Timo Nasseri finding Arabic letters in the constellations or the British sisters Jane i Louise Wilson, specialized in video, cinema and photography, nominated for the Turner Prize on 1999. An exhibition that invites us to reconsider our relationship with the environment we live in. AU
