It is not the first time that the Center del Carme hosts an exhibition related to the thousands of people shot by Franco who remain underground and we bet it will not be the last. In Paterna, the first recorded shooting took place after the Civil War and today it is in a large common grave with the remains of more than two thousand people killed by Franco's repression. objects (of the)appeared is a project by María A. Gomar Vidal who rescues the objects of these people, some personal, others related to repression and others who were placed next to the victims so that they could be identified in the future. But also objects that could be clandestinely recovered from the pits and were preserved and inherited, sometimes, as the only memory of the murdered relative. AU
