The Center del Carme opens its doors to contemporary art creators from 18 Valencian art galleries, ten years after the first collective exhibition of Valencia Open. There is no common theme in open looks, simply, the concerns of the twenty participating artists are collected, with his own style and technique. Painting and sculpture (both abstract and figurative), photograph, video, textile art and installation mixed together in an exhibition that shows the creative freedom that prevails in current art, increasingly resentful when they talk to him about trends or predominant currents. You will find a site specific in which Ignacio Uriarte refers to the division of the day into eight-hour segments (job, leisure and sleep) and an installation of Claudia Pastomas that delves into the transformations derived from the industrial revolutions. On another plane, The installation of David Sanchez highlights the dichotomy between the warmth of matter and the coldness of flatness, of the geometric. Julia Fuentesal y Pablo M. Grits They explore the playful dimension of art with poor materials that carry the heritage of Andalusian sculpture, Antonio Only invites us to imagine how his busts carved on blocks of lime wood end up., Rafael Macarron, influenced by comics and Jean Dubuffet, create dream scenes for unusual characters, Estefania Serrano investigate the relationship between the straight line and the surface, inspired by Paul Klee and Le Corbusier, y Andrea Canepa talks about things without function and the importance of touch.
