Laboluz ex machina

UNTIL SUNDAY 7/7
CARME CENTER. Museum, 2

Of 1990, he Light laboratory of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Valencia functions as a meeting space, study and research of aesthetic and expressive principles linked to the image-light. It was the first research group linked to a Faculty of Fine Arts in a Spanish university, emerged at a time of transition from analog to digital culture that now invades practically all areas of our lives. Focused on the hybridization of art, science and technology, the Laboluz program opened new avenues in the development of artistic production through image and sound technologies. The exhibition Laboluz ex machina from the Center del Carme presents a dozen works that combine installation, video, sound pieces and interactive situations where the public can relate to the technical devices to transform the development of the works. Without the people, these pieces would not cease to be empty, illuminated white wall or strange and unsettling empty stage. AU
