The title of the sample, Idea as model, It is inspired by an exhibition by architect Peter Eisenman, that already in 1976 claimed the importance of the model in architecture, Beyond its role as a mere tool to reach the final design. Making this argument of, Irma Álvarez-Laviada develops this concept of the autonomy of the fragments, applying it on your own works. The exhibition pieces extend along the four floors of the gallery, as a kind of material index, and each exposed fragment constitutes a continuation of its research on the structural and self -referential elements in the painting.
