Google, Facebook i Twitter funcionen amb algoritmes, that is to say, enrevessades fórmules matemàtiques que permeten a les màquines prendre decisions i mostrar continguts adaptats al perfil de cada usuari. I en plena polèmica per la influència que aquests “innocents” algoritmes han pogut tindre, for example, en l’elecció de Donald Trump president dels Estats Units, el Centre del Carme inaugura una mostra que analitza i posa en qüestió aquest llenguatge ocult que condiciona la nostra vida diària. Trobareu peces històriques com la primera proposta de videoart firmada a Brasil el 1973 per Analivia Cordeiro i una obra de Moisés Mañas que reacciona a la pols de la sala mitjançant un algoritme.
