UNTIL SUNDAY 1/9
MuVIM. Quevedo, 10
If we talk about Valencian pop artistic collectives, the first ones that come to mind are Team Realidad and Team Crónica, founded in the mid-sixties to make social and political criticism from a pop aesthetic and an anti-Franco position. But the MuVIM wants to publicize another collective founded a few decades later, he 1987, whose works they carried 22 years without showing: l’Limit Team. Cuqui Guillén and Cari Roig drew from the movement that arose in the United States in the times of the explosion of propaganda and mass media and incorporated a local perspective, comedian and feminist. In that sense, Guillén says that in the first works they spoke of women who had no other aspiration than to dedicate themselves to the home and raising children, but little by little "more and more empowered women began to emerge, capable of liberating themselves from bonds and oppression in all areas". Vivid colors, irony and fun run riot in works that make you smile but talk about serious things. AU
