Dvbón. A republican artist

MuVIM. Quevedo, 10

In the same way that we cry for historical memory, we also do it for the artistic memory of those who saw the freedom of their brush annulled with the arrival of the Franco dictatorship. This is the case of Lluís Dvbón, Valencian painter and graphic designer whose memory was condemned to oblivion for his commitment and defense of the Second Republic. In the sample Dvbón. A republican artist we will see more than thirty works that overflow with preciousness and technical precision, between female representations on oil, posters of oranges and false art. All of them guide us in one wonderful journey through the Valencian visual culture of the first half of the 20th century, by one of the most important artists, although unknown, of our city.
