Diana Lelonek: Solastalgia

UNTIL SATURDAY 30/7
SET SPAI OF ART. Pl. Miracle of the Handkerchief, 4

First exhibition of the Polish woman Diana Lelonek in Spain, an artist who started with photography but has broadened her horizons over the years, also betting on installation and conceptual art. Solastalgia looks at the overproduction and extinction of species caused by human activity. You can watch the series Center of living things which shows how nature colonizes objects that humans leave behind: electronics, bottles, shoes… Elements that become part of a much larger biological puzzle when they are rejected by humans. The exhibition is a reflection on the fate of the planet and post-industrial decay that draws on religious and baroque references, of man and nature, to explore the relationship between humans and other species. The borders between the natural and cultural realms, great source of inspiration in Lelonek's work. S.M.
