UNTIL SUNDAY 14/6
MUSEUM OF ART OF THE DEPUTY (MuVIM). Quevedo, 10
They have let the museum languish that gave a blow to the table last year 2016 with that impressive exhibition on republican modernity in Valencia. We no longer talk about the glorious years with Román de la Calle at the helm. The last few years I was gasping without a clear direction and, finally, the crooked people who make the big decisions have decided to let it fall and refill it with the artistic heritage of the Province of Valencia. In this first installment they are shown sixteen bronze pieces sculpted between the 19th and 20th centuries by Valencian artists pensioned by the provincial institution, main source of the collection. Between them, The vagabond by Ignacio Pinazo and the archer by Rafael Pérez Contel, which, showing muscles and folds, they attest to the continuity of certain constants in the sculptural representation over time.
